Cor Defense is a nonprofit organization dedicated to healing and empowerment through body-focused practices that support survivors of interpersonal violence. We create trauma-informed spaces where participants can rebuild trust in their own bodies, connect with others, and experience the regulating power of movement. This June, we’re excited to offer the Fierce Workshop - a 5-week seminar held on Mondays for middle and high school students and their parents or guardians. Participants will learn fun and empowering techniques while supporting the mission of Cor Defense.
If you cannot find your answer below, please contact Andrea at 970-426-6579. You can also email her at andrea@cordefense.org - but text is the fastest way to reach her.
Anyone (ages 6+) wanting to learn some effective and empowering self-defense techniques. These techniques build confidence, increase situational awareness, and empower people to respond to many different situations.
The registration fee for the Fierce Workshop goes directly to the program expenses of Cor Defense, like gym rent, equipment, etc.
Cor Defense is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides trauma-informed defense training for survivors of interpersonal violence (bullying, stalking, sexual assault, domestic violence, etc), as a means of body focused treatment for trauma. We have a children's and adult's program and currently offer 4 classes per week in Loveland, CO.
No! This is a special workshop we are organizing with Leah Rohlf and Summitview Church. If you received this invite, you are welcome!
Wear clothes you feel comfortable working out in (including shoes) & bring a water bottle. Keep in mind you will need to remove jewelry before class!
No prior experience necessary! No fitness level required. We teach defense techniques from Krav Maga, a system that relies on natural body-movement and repetition and can accommodate nearly any physical ability or disability, fitness level, and/or experience. We also incorporate trauma-informed care so people who have experienced trauma can learn techniques without being retraumatized. Come as you are.
The cost to register is $20 per class, per attendee. When you complete this form, please visit our website at cordefense.org/seminar and click step #2 "Pay" to complete payment, which is due by May 31st.
